I started Inspired Shell Designs because I've always loved shells. As a little girl I used to collect shells and decorate plant pots with them. I realised that by photographing a shell, I could use it over and over again and thus I started creating greeting cards with sayings about the shell(s). I love our oceans, beaches and nature. I feel truly alive when in the natural environment. I found that once I started creating, more ideas flowed and my photography started going further than shells. I love writing poetry and prose for my photos. Since starting, I have written three children's books and diversified further. Not just about shells anymore, although I'll always love them.
